Dear Friends of ZuZu,
Happy Holidays! Aside from the obvious reasons, December will always be a very special month for us. On December 20th we will be celebrating our third anniversary, and what a ride it’s been! While many components of our original vision are still in place, we’ve seen the restaurant, cuisine and staff evolve beyond our expectations. The grounds have matured and are absolutely gorgeous. We’ve added quite a few decorative touches in the lounge and restaurant, and have already begun reupholstering some of the furniture. By the time you read this our winter menu will be in place -- we’re featuring a wide array of Duncan’s Farm vegetables and have added several more seasonal small plates perfect for sharing.

We patiently waited until this joyous month to host one of the finest Champagne houses in France. Champagne is such a celebratory and evocative wine, and we can thank Veuve Clicquot for their achievements and dedication to this special beverage. Veuve Clicquot was established in 1772; their vineyards are well-situated on slopes providing an especially favorable microclimate and excellent conditions for high-quality harvests. Their philosophy has always been “only one quality, the finest.” We are proud to partner with such esteemed artisans for our last Chef’s Table of the year; I do hope you’ll join us.

We are planning special dishes for Christmas and New Years Eve as well as Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Expect to see Jonah Lump Crab & Spinach Gratin, Braised Red Cabbage Salad with Bacon, Candied Pecans and Warm Goat Cheese, Pan-Seared Scallops with Roasted Root Vegetables and Sage Butter, and of course our Slow Roasted All-Natural Red Bird Farms Turkey with all the trimmings. Monica is pulling out all the stops and has a collection of spectacular desserts planned. Scroll down to those holidays to check out our schedule and blue plates.

The lounge will be alive on New Year’s Eve and rooms are still available, but perhaps not for long.
