Dear Friends of ZuZu,
Two years have passed since the first Monday Night Chef’s Table, and I couldn’t be happier with the evolution of our little bi-monthly event. There have been more distinguished guests pass through than I could ever list in this brief correspondence, we’ve sampled some fine food and beverage, and learned a great deal in the process. Some themes were certainly more popular than others, but the common thread has always been the challenge and excitement surrounding each one. ZuZu has attracted a collection of guests who crave new experiences, and have proved that comfort can coexist with experimentation.

I love to collaborate with the famous wine guru Pat Jasmin on anything pertaining to the grape, so to mix it up a bit we decided to look north to Oregon for some inspiration. On Monday September 8th she will be introducing us to two amazing Oregon producers: Adelsheim and Elk Cove. Oregon is famous for their pinots, and we have a stellar lineup which includes a beautiful Rose of Pinot Noir and a Late Harvest Pinot Noir dessert wine!

We are honored to feature St. Francis Winery at our second Chef’s Table on September 22nd. St. Francis firmly believes in the power of terroir; hence the commitment that their intensely flavored and complex wines begin in the vineyard. Each of their Sonoma estate vineyards has a different microclimate superbly suited to the growing of wine grapes. I’ve visited the original winery that was established in 1979, and understand the new facility is remarkable.

I hope everyone has an exciting and safe Labor Day. One more month and we’ll all remember why we live here. Stay tuned for ZuZu’s fall menus, and I hope to see you all in the restaurant as we slip into another magnificent Arizona autumn.
