drinks for spring
March's drink of the month at Trader Vic's is the Strawberry Caprice, a $10 variation on the popular caprinhi + made with strawberries and lime, lychee liqueur rum from Brazil, and sugar cane syrup from Martinique. For April, the featured drink is the $9 Coco Rose, with coconut liqueur from Mexico, Skyy vodka, cranberry and pineapple juice, and a dash of bitters blended in a tall pilsner with cubed ice.

Wine lovers, get ready to celebrate. During March, the Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon '03 is priced at just $65...with its dusty tannins, chocolate and cherry overtones making this a perfect choice with the signature Indonesian rack of lamb. And in April, the featured Cabernet Sauvignon is from Jordan Vineyard in Alexander Valley, priced at $85...with a hint of tobacco and earth up front plus a delicate blueberry in the nose, ideal with the bleu cheese-encrusted filet mignon from Trader Vic's historic Chinese wood-fired oven.
