Happy Holidays!

This December we celebrate our fourth anniversary of the grand re-opening of Hotel Valley Ho. Our challenge at the onset was to create a sense of excitement and renewal, while at the same time respecting the history and tradition of this very special property.

Last December’s Champagne Chef’s Table was so popular that we wanted to bring it back, only better. This year we are not only hosting one of the finest Champagne houses in France, but two of the finest Champagne houses in France. Champagne is such a celebratory and evocative wine, and we can thank Veuve Clicquot and Moet & Chandon for their achievements and dedication to this special beverage. We are proud to partner with such esteemed artisans for our last Chef’s Table of the year on Monday, December 14th; I do hope you’ll join us.

We are planning special dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner on Christmas and Christmas Eve. Expect to see Jonah Lump Crab + Spinach Gratin, Endive + Pear Salad with Shaft’s Blue Cheese and Pecan Tartlet, Lobster Bisque, Pan-Seared Scallops with Roasted Root Vegetables, Brussels Sprouts + Coriander Butter, and of course our Slow Roasted All-Natural Red Bird Farms Turkey with all the trimmings. We are pulling out the stops and have a collection of spectacular desserts planned as well.

ZuZu and the Lounge will be alive on New Year’s Eve with tunes from our favorite DJ, the esteemed Mr. P-Body, from 8pm until 1am. This year the theme will be “Mad Men,” perfect for the Ho...stylish, well-appointed, mid-century retro chic. Reserve a table during the second seating in ZuZu and experience an unforgettable, reservation-only midnight rooftop toast. Rooms are still available, but perhaps not for long. It’s nice to reminisce about all the spectacular events that we’ve been involved in over the past four years, as well as the unique collection of employees and guests that have passed through our doors. Each has contributed something special in some way to make the Valley Ho what it is today. This year features a “Mad Men” (perhaps your favorite TV series on AMC) theme with entertainment from DJ Mr. P-Body in the lounge from 7pm until 1am. ZuZu will offer regular breakfast and lunch. Dinner will have two seatings featuring a four-course dinner paired with Champagne from Veuve Clicquot and Moet & Chandon as well as select wine. The second seating will also include party favors and a special invitation for a midnight rooftop Champagne toast. Also, look for room discounts included in the evening affair. If guests prefer a lighter fare, the lounge menu will be offered in the ZuZu Lounge from 2:30pm until close.
