Dress Code for the Beach Club

When dining in Southern Tide, please remember:
Gentlemen and boys over 12 are expected:

  • To remove their hats and baseball caps.

  • To cover up. Shirt, dry shorts or slacks for gentlemen. Cover-ups or casual wear for ladies.

Shoes or sandals are required in restaurants for any meals.

Dress Code for The Lodge

When dining at Colt & Alison:
For dinner, gentlemen and boys over 12 are expected:

  • To remove their hats.

  • To wear a jacket, collared shirt and slacks for dinner.

Jeans and baseball caps are not appropriate for dinner.
For Sunday brunch, gentlemen and boys over 12 are expected:

  • To remove their hats.

  • To wear a collared shirt with either tailored Bermuda shorts, appropriate jeans or slacks.

When dining at the Oak Room:
Before 6 p.m., gentlemen and boys over 12 are expected to wear a collared shirt with tailored Bermuda shorts, slacks or appropriate jeans. After 6 p.m., a collared shirt with slacks or appropriate jeans; tailored Bermuda shorts are acceptable during the summer months. Baseball caps are not appropriate.

Dress Code for The Cloister

In the Colonial Lounge, Library, Smoking Lounge, Solarium, and Spanish Lounge: a collared shirt and tailored Bermuda shorts, slacks or appropriate jeans are acceptable for gentlemen and boys over 12.

In the River Bar: For gentlemen and boys over 12, a collared shirt with either tailored Bermuda shorts, slacks or appropriate jeans is required. Baseball caps are not appropriate.

In the Georgian Room, Georgian Room Lounge, and Georgian Private Dining Room, Jacket and collared shirt with slacks for gentlemen and boys over 12.

In Tavola, a collared shirt and tailored Bermuda shorts, slacks or appropriate jeans are acceptable for gentlemen and boys over 12. 

The appropriate attire for Bingo includes:

  • Jackets and collared shirts for gentlemen and boys over 12; hats or caps removed.

  • Slacks and a collared shirt, tucked into the pants, for boys under 12; hats or caps removed.

  • Dinner attire for ladies.

Jeans are not appropriate for Bingo.
Baseball caps and pool flip-flop sandals are not appropriate.

Appropriate Golf Attire

Appropriate golf attire is required in the clubhouse, on the course, and in practice areas.

Gentlemen:

  • Tailored Bermuda and walking shorts are permissible providing they are no higher than 3 1/2 inches above the knee.

  • Cutoffs, athletic shorts, swim suits, tennis shorts, blue jeans and jogging attire are not appropriate.

  • Collared shirts must be worn at all times.

  • Shirts without collars including crew neck shirts, fish net shirts, t-shirts and tank tops are not appropriate (t-shirts are permissible for children under 16 years of age).

Ladies:

  • Halter tops, bathing suit tops, revealing clothing, short shorts, cut-offs, tennis, swimming and jogging attire are not appropriate.

Shoes:

  • Soft-soled and golf shoes with non-metal spikes, please.

  • No sandals.

Appropriate Tennis Attire

Appropriate tennis attire is required in the tennis center and on the courts.

  • Jeans are not appropriate.

  • Cutoffs and running shorts are not appropriate.

  • Bathing suits, tank tops and jogging bras are not appropriate.

Shoes:

  • Footwear suitable for clay court play is required.
